Happy First Birthday Ryan, Brooke & Jack!

Pictures:
* Babies getting ready for their party (L-R: Jack, Brooke, Ryan) - aren't they the most adorable shirts!?
* Trying to get Brookie to smile!? (L-R: Ryan, Brooke, Jack)
* Barnyard cake and cupcakes...SO CUTE!
* Singing happy birthday to the babies. As you can see, Brooke wasn't so sure about it!
* The last time wearing their crowns :-(
* We had all of our guests sign the babies first birthday pictures
I've waited SO long to say that (happy b-day), but it seems like just yesterday that the babies were born. We've come a long way baby :-)
They are all:
* Wearing 6-12 (not for much longer) and 12-18 month clothes
* Wearing size 3 diapers
* Eating most everything! Starting to eat more table food, chopped up nice and small! They haven't meant much they don't like :-)
* Sleeping pretty well...just when I say "great", they'll get off track again!?
Ryan - aka RyeRye, Rymers
19 lbs 3 oz (6th percentile), 30" tall (53rd percentile), 18" head (67th percentile)
The happy, laid back boy with the smile that melts your heart. He's rather shy when meeting people but warms up and then has the sweetest giggle you'll ever hear. A few of Ryan's latest accomplishments:
* Took his first step! (this week - 10/14) And has taken several more steps since...
* Still has just two teeth but can eat! Some of his favorites these days: pasta, black beans, turkey sticks
* Is long and lean! He is the tallest and skinniest of the three and is SO strong!
Brooke - aka Brookie Cookie, Sissy
19 lbs 4 oz (20th percentile), 28.25" tall (20th percentile), 18.5" head (97th percentile!)
Brooke is pretty laid back but loves attention. She's very sensitive...I think she's going to have to toughen up to handle three brothers :-) She's come so far lately. Her upper body strength has improved so much over the last few months and she's pulling herself up on furniture and anything else she can and cruises along the furniture! Here are a few of Brooke's latest accomplishments:
* Our little talker! She likes to babble a lot, it's so cute!
* She's our chunky monkey for sure :-) Her cute little belly hangs over her pants. Brooke is the shortest of the three.
* She's our chunky monkey for sure :-) Her cute little belly hangs over her pants. Brooke is the shortest of the three.
* No teeth yet but that doesn't stop her from eating everything the boys do :-)
Jack - aka JackJack, Jackaroo
19 lbs 1 oz (5th percentile), 29.5" tall (33rd percentile), 17.5" head (31st percentile)
Jack is Mr. Smiles and pretty active. He will flash anyone his toothy, sweet smile and hasn't met a stranger yet! He loves to steal anything and everything from his brothers and sister. He will crawl across the room to take whatever they're playing with, only to drop it and move on after he's accomplished "the grab". Kyle calls him "Jack the bully" on a regular basis. Note to self - NEVER say something you don't want your three year old to repeat :-) A few of Jack's latest feats:
* Jack has six teeth!
* Jack still loves to yell, which he does to cry (seriously, screaming IS crying!) and when he's having a good time. You can still tell which is a happy scream or a mad scream but crazy, nonetheless!
* Not really close to walking but loves to cruise along the furniture to get someplace he probably shouldn't :-)
We had the babies birthday party on Saturday, October 10th. We decided to have it at Three Cedars Farm which is our favorite pumpkin patch and has been since Kyle was born. The location was ideal for the perfect, crisp Fall day for about 75 family and friends to celebrate an amazing year with us. Kyle probably enjoyed the day the most as he spent lots of time with his big cousin, Logan who came into town for the party with Aunt Jill and Sal. Thanks to Mom/Dad, Cheryl, Kim, Denise and Jill/Sal for all of your help...what would I do without all of you!? The day turned out wonderful and I'm so glad everyone was there to celebrate such a momentous occasion.

LOVE IT!!! Happy Birthday babes!!! I can't believe it's been a year already! (BTW- Zach is in size three diapers too!- My peanuts never get out of size three but it's NOT because they potty train early- not even beginning to try with Z yet...)
Hugs-

Happy Belated Birthday. You are truly amazing how you pull everything together; the bash looks like it was wonderful; we're sorry we missed the festivities. Your crew of one year olds look fantastic! Can you believe you're entering toddler time? I love the pic of you a year back...The Avers' terribly belated b-day presents are in the mail (Sorry to be so behind)...
How sweet. What a wonderful party.

Looks like so much fun - sorry I missed it! I'm so glad you finally posted. My mom has been asking everyday when you were going to update it! I tried to tell her you're a busy, working-woman, with four kids under 4, and traveling with a baby and grandma to CT!!! I don't know how you do it!
