Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a great new year. We've been rather busy over the holidays. We came home from Illinois on 12/31 and my brother/sister-in-law/niece were here from CT for a visit. We celebrated New Year's together. What a difference a year makes...last year Elena was pregnant with Lila and the triplets weren't even a thought yet so it was just Kyle! All of the adults managed to stay up past midnight (so we could all get up with our children bright and early in the morning!?!?).

We had a relaxing New Year's day then took family pictures on Friday morning (trying to post the picture but having trouble!), had the babies RSV shots in the early afternoon then went to my cousins to celebrate Christmas in the evening. My cousin and his girlfriend are expecting next month so we gave them a crash course in babies. We figured if they could handle all of ours, life would be a piece of cake for them when Brayden is born!

The babies were weighed at the doctor. The update:
Jack 9 lb 13 oz
Brooke 8 lb 14 oz
Ryan 9 lb 6 oz - he took over the second spot, surpassing his sister!

They are all doing great. Jack and Brooke are both smiling a lot, they all are cooing and all drinking about 5.5 ounces about five times a day. I don't want to jinx anything but they have been sleeping 7-8 hours each night for the past week. I feel like a new person, I can enjoy an hour or two to myself before I go to bed at night! What a difference a good nights sleep makes. Ryan seems to be the one who wants attention at night as he wakes up around 1 or 2 am to "talk" (aka cry!). Hopefully he'll take a lesson from his brother and sister soon. They've just recently started to wear their 0-3 month clothes and still in Newborn diapers. Hopefully they don't grow too much because we still have a lot of newborn diapers to use up :-)

It was so great to be with family and friends over the holidays but it's nice for life to settle down again and get back into our "routine". Hopefully it's not long before we see my brother/sister-in-law/niece and Ed's family again.
