Happy One Month Birthday, Babies!

We took this picture today of me with the babies. It was quite a feat to rest them all on my lap! The babies are getting so big (well, relatively speaking :-). We were at our weekly doctor appointment on Tuesday and here's the latest...

Brooke (born at 4 lb 4 oz) now 5 lb 6 oz
Jack (born at 4 lb 5 oz) now 5 lb 13 oz
Ryan (born at 3 lb 13 oz) now 4 lb 15 oz

We're starting to get pretty efficient at feedings. Even though Brooke is on a different schedule, everyone takes their bottles pretty quickly which helps. Once they eat and burp, they all go back to sleep right away for a few hours before the cycle begins again. I know this luxury won't last for long as they will be awake a lot more, so I've been getting a few things done around the house. Just keeping up with bottle washing and laundry is hard enough!

The triplets and Kyle have had lots of visitors lately. It's been a lot of fun to see family and friends and to introduce them to the babies. Everyone's comment is similar in they all think the babies are much smaller in "real life" compared to the pictures. Now that they are closing in on five and six pounds, we think they're so big :-)

Kyle went to the doctor for his flu shot today. I had been trying to prepare him for it over the past week but I'm not sure if that was such a great idea. When we got up this morning, he said "I don't want a flu shot mommy!". In the end, he was so good!

The weather has been so great the last few days that we've taken the kids out for a walk. I'm sure it's a sign of what's to come but it's amazing how many people want to stop and talk to you when they see this crazy, huge stroller coming! Unfortunately I think our walks outdoors have come to an abrupt end as it's supposed to turn cold again...must mean winter is really right around the corner :-(

We received great news about Brooke today. The pediatric surgery team felt she was doing so well that they allowed us to take out her nasal feeding tube! I was SO happy as it just didn't seem very comfortable for her and I was always concerned that she would accidently pull it out. It's amazing how much they all have thrived since coming home.

We have family and friends coming into town for the weekend and can't wait for their arrival tomorrow. I'm off to do a little cleaning and get bottles ready for the night!

We are so excited all the babies and Kyle are doing so well. Way to go little Brookie--we knew you wouldn't have to have that yuckie tube for long. We cannot believe how fast they are growing and gaining weight. GOD bless all of you and you continue to be in thoughts and prayers-- we love you all--Ted, Lynette, Julia, Jenna and Bradley

It is so great to see and hear how great everyone is doing. How wonderful that Brooke got rid of that yucky tube. Has the reality of being a family of 6 sunk in yet. It's like Christmas came early for the Logan family and what a wonderful gift you've been given. You and Ed are truly blessed but I'm sure no one has to tell you that. Know that you're all in our thoughts. We'd love to maybe come for a visit after the holidays. Love Diane & Fred
