* Bubbles! By far the best gift from the Easter Bunny!
We had a great Easter. I can't remember the last time that the weather was so wonderful; it was sunny and in the 70's. The morning started as they usually do, Kyle wakes up and comes into our bed. I think he forgot it was Easter because he wanted to chill a little before getting the babies up, until we reminded him of the special day. We got the whole crew up and had the video camera ready to capture the morning. They were all interested in their baskets but mostly the grass! Kyle enjoyed looking into everyone's basket and sharing their goodies.
After the basket excitement, we had breakfast and got ready for church. Amazingly, we were cleaned up, ready and out the door by 9 am! Our routine is Ed drops us all off at the front door of church and Kyle holds someones hand while I hold the other two. Last week, Kyle was holding Brooke's hand and as they took the step up into the lobby, Brooke tripped. The gentleman that he is, he let go of her hand and kept walking! This week he did much better and was a big help. The babies all cried at "Jesus School" but Brooke & Jack were playing in no time. Ryan, on the other hand, fell asleep in one of the girls arms and woke up right before we got back! Kyle sat with Ed and I, and was good as gold. One minor issue...he was playing with my ponytail holder and it slipped out of his hand and flew right past a gentleman's nose, as it flew into the aisle. The look on Kyle's face was priceless :-)
After some quick naps, my grandma, uncle and his girlfriend/3 daughters came down for dinner and an awesome Easter egg hunt. The kids were all sleeping when everyone arrived, so when they came out of their room, they were clinging to me. It took about 15 minutes for them to wake up and get comfortable with all of the attention. Ryan, on the other hand, wasn't having any of it. He is going through a serious shy phase now and anytime someone looks at him (mostly everyone except Ed & I), he will quickly look down at the floor. He'll keep his head down for a few minutes, then sneak a peek to see if you're still there. If so, he'll quickly put his head down again. Even at dinner, his high chair faced the table and it took him awhile to stop crying and eat his dinner...poor guy.
Kyle, Laura & Emily LOVED the Easter egg hunt. The triplets weren't too sure of what was going on but they had fun chasing the big kids around! It was a wonderful day. Especially because Brooke finally didn't cry when she saw her Great-Grandma. She actually wanted GG to pick her up, play with her, etc. Jack has now shied away from her and of course, you know about Ryan... Kyle and GG are best buds. They went for a walk around the neighborhood before dinner, just the two of them. How lucky he is to get to know his great-grandma, she'll be 90 years old this month. We're so blessed to have her in our lives!
We had a busy weekend! I'll post about our visit with the Easter Bunny and trip to the zoo soon. Happy Easter!

Brooke is so cute in her dress and little sweater! And I love that Kyle just walked off when she fell - what chivalry! Looks/sounds like a great Easter for everyone!
Sounds like a great Easter weekend. Your Grandma looks so great and the fact that she is walking around the neighborhood at 90 is amazing!

Holy cow, the Easter Bunny was generous! Don't let my kids see those baskets :-)
