On the day of the worst snowstorm this year, we had tickets to see Elmo Live! in Saginaw. Our friend, Matt, is the GM at the Dow Event Center and we'd been planning on going up to see my grandma and the show. We woke up to a lot of snow already on the ground and it continued to come down. We made the decision to give the drive a try and if it got too bad, we'd turn around.
The drive was a little slow but the show was SO much fun! We had taken Kyle when he was two and knew the triplets would enjoy it as well. We arrived early and the kids were so excited, although, I'm not sure what was going through their minds (i.e. did they think they going to watch an Elmo movie? did they understand the whole show concept? etc). Matt was able to get us in for a meet and greet with Elmo and his friend, Rosita. We walked in with just the Blasy's and the kids were fine walking down to see them (eyes as big as saucers!)...until we got close. Kyle said, "I don't want to go see them!" and the triplets held on tight to our legs. After a few minutes, Kyle warmed up to them, giving high fives and actually sat on Elmo's lap! He's definitely come a long way! Jack and Ryan eventually warmed up enough to give high fives, Brooke, not so much. She wouldn't even LOOK at them and held on for dear life.
We had great seats, with the main aisle right in front of us, so the kids were able to stand up and dance during the show. The triplets were mesmerized the whole time and wanted to dance or sway in their seats most of the show. The older boys enjoyed the show too but it's so fun watching the little ones experience it for the first time. We talked about the show for weeks!
Our drive home was quite the production as well. The roads were HORRIBLE and the drive was slow but it was SO worth it. Thanks Blasys for a great day!

Awesome, Jen! What fun for the whole family. You continue to awe and inspire me, making trips with 4 kids in the snow to do a big show. You are my hero! We are doing Disney On Ice in February -- can't wait to see how Ainsley takes it all in. Hope to catch up with you more personally in NJ in February.
