Preschool Family Picnic

* Kyle couldn't get enough of the twisty slide (his cupcake only lasted long enough to take two licks of the frosting, then the garbage can. Hence, no picture!)

* Ryan loved the mini cupcake - he kept licking the frosting and it wasn't coming off! He finally figured out that he should bite it!

* Jack was just happy to have the cupcake, after a few bites of frosting, he wanted to go play.

* Brooke, aka "Miss Sassypants" was dancing while she was eating her cupcake :-)

We had Kyle's preschool family picnic today. Of course the weather has been great; until today. The temperature may have gotten up to 55 degrees but it was windy and cold! Everyone had a great time, eating, making crafts and playing on the awesome playground.

And today we had our first run-in with a mean kid. A little boy, who just happened to be at the playground but wasn't with our group, was very naughty. Kyle was playing with his friend Emily and a little boy wanted to go down the twisty slide. Kyle told him he couldn't because Jack was in the middle of climbing up the slide and he didn't want the boy to knock him down. The boy, who was about 7 or 8, yelled to Kyle, "you're not the boss of me!" and my shy, sweet little Kyle responded, "yes, I AM the boss!". The boy then proceeded to hit Kyle a few times before Ed yelled up to him to quit hitting! You GO Kyle! We were so proud of him for sticking up for himself and his little brother. My sweet boy rocks!
